I’ve been over in the Gstaad area a few times recently, on Saturday I was doing a private day with a French group and had a fantastic time in the the sun on Rellerli. I like Rellerli as you can ride the lift to the ridge and then snowshoe along the ridge quickly out of the ski area and into the backcountry.

It was so good on Saturday that I decided to go back again on Monday with some of our snowshoe holiday group. We rode the lift again and followed a similar route to Saturday before heading further from the ski station onto the ridges towards Hundsrügg. The ridge-line in the photo’s is actually quite exciting in a couple of places with steep, long drops into the valley.

Having safely navigated the ridge we stopped for a picnic in a sunny spot before heading back to the valley.

The lift here doesn’t run too late in the season so I’ll probably go over again in the next week or so and take advantage of the lift before it stops for the season.
